The Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly, is a run by Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust and the college was established in the Year 2005. The College is affiliated to M J P Rohilkhand University, located in Uttar Pradesh and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC), India. The Medical College has an annual intake of 100 MBBS seats and 87 seats in 21 disciplines of Post-Graduate studies.

The campus Spreads over lush Green area of 31.61 acres which houses main medical college building, teaching hospital, Doctors staff Quarters, Resident doctor hostel, Boys and Girls hostel, Playground and offer Supportive facilities. There are very good spacious gallery type Lecture halls in the college and in the hospital. There are  Examination halls & Demonstration rooms. The Institute is fully equipped with clinical Laboratories, Departmental Museums and Auditorium. Library and information center is located in a huge area with good collection of Medical Books, Indian & Foreign Journals with separate reading space for students & Teaching Staff and a Digital Library. There are facilities for Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports with volleyball and badminton facilities. The institute has well established and full strength Pre Clinical, Para Clinical and Clinical departments having experienced and qualified doctors and staff.

The Attached Hospital

Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences has most modern 950 bed, centrally air-conditioned, Multi Super Speciality, Tertiary Care and a Trauma Hospital established on 4th July’ 2002. The Hospital has 600 teaching beds for teaching and training of students pursuing their MBBS Programme. The treatment of the patients on these beds is done free of cost. The Hospital is well equipped with facilities to provide quality teaching & training to the students in various departments. In addition to lthese departments of Radiotherapy, Cardiac Sciences, Renal Sciences, Neuro Sciences and Plastic Surgery are fully functional. These departments cater to high number of footfall of around 1200 patients in OPD every day and have inward occupancy of 85% to 90%.

 Every month more than 200 Cardiac interventional procedures, more than 400 dialysis, more than 50 Radiotherapies and more than 600 major surgeries in various surgical departments are being performed. The hospital is running various programmes of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) like Free Cataract Surgery Programme under DBCS, Free deliveries under Saubhagyawati Matratva Suraksha Yojna, Tuberculosis Programme under RNTCP, Leprosy Programme, Child Immunization Programme, Family Planning Programme and others. The hospital actively participates in cause for Polio eradication.

It is the only medical college among the self-funded ones to house one the best medical technologies available in the country for diagnosis and intervention. Among them are 3.0 Tesla MRI, High Energy Linear Accelerator, Bracy-Therapy Unit, Modular Operation Theaters, Harmonic Scalpel, Cath Lab for Coronary Angiography, Angioplasty and other cardiac interventions, Video Endoscope and Bronchoscope, Fundus Camera for retina angiography, Arthroscopy of joints, state-of-art critical care equipments, High End Microscope 3 Chip Cameras for surgeries, Lithotripsy, 4D latest Color Dopplers and others.

Admission Process

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Uttar Pradesh will have to register themselves for the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, UP is functioning directly under the State Government admission process by filling out their application form. Telangana MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for Uttar Pradesh MBBS / BDS admission. Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DMET)counseling is conducted in Three Rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round). The fourth round being the College Round, if the number of vacant seats is x, then a 10x the list of registered candidates will be sent to the college and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit. Directorate General of Medical Education and Training UP conducts the combined (Government and Private) admissions for UP NEET-UG medical

Eligibility For Admission
1. Qualification:

  • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • Those who have qualified NEET-UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2020 counseling rounds
  • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

  • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)

The private medical college Seat  selection process 

Private colleges in Uttar Pradesh may further be divided into two one is trust other is minority institutes. For all private medical colleges in UP, the state government decides its fee structure.100 % seats in private medical colleges Students from any Indian state are eligible to apply for private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. No caste-based reservation is applicable. Minority college seat is reserve for minority students.

STEPS FOR COUNSELLING PROCESS

  • Verification of Documents – After successful registration and deposition of the security money, a candidate needs to report to the nodal centers for verification of documents. If a candidate fails to report to the respective nodal center in the stipulated time, their seat will be given to the candidate next in line. Only after the successful verification of the documents, a candidate will be able to proceed to the next stage of UP NEET counseling 2020
  • Online Admission Process for allotted candidates

Offline Process

  1. For Government Medical/Dental Colleges -Rest fee(in Cash) and Original documents to be submitted to allotted college - Go to medical board at allotted college/ nodal center -Eligible for participation in 2nd round. (up gradation of seat/college)
  2. For Private Medical/Dental Colleges -DD in favour of Director General Medical Education and Training UP Payable at Lucknow of remaining amount of tuition fee and original documents submit to nodal center not to allotted college -Go to medical board at nodal center -Eligible for participation in 2nd round. (up gradation of seat/college)
  • After allotment, if the candidate does not complete the admission process then the security fee will be forfeited. If a candidate wants to participate in 2nd round, then the security fee is to be deposited again.
  • Candidate will be provided a button of <pay tuition fee> to submit online tuition fee at the page of allotment result. The candidate has to pay Rs. 30,000/- (Rs. Thirty thousand only) in case he/she has been allotted seat of Government Institutions. If the candidate has been allotted a seat at a private institution, he/she has to pay Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. Two lakhs only)
