Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) is a private medical college located in Talegaon, Pune and is run by is run by MAEER Trust Pune-prestigious institute & body of international repute. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC), India. It was established in the year 1994 and has an annual intake of 150 seats in MBBS and 35 seats in 13 disciplines of Postgraduate studies. It is accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade Certification and is one of the best Medical college in the city.
The Medical College and Hospital are located in a sprawling huge green covered campus with magnificent infrastructure. It has technology-infused Gallery type 4 Lecture halls in the college and 1 in the Hospital with a seating capacity of 180 to 250. There are 6 well equipped Laboratories and Demonstration halls, Common rooms for Boys and Girls, Examination hall to accommodate 250 students at a time. Medical Skills Lab & Departmental museums. The well-equipped, modernized, and latest Technology-driven equipment make the Laboratory unique. Cafeteria and Recreation halls are amongst the best. There are separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls. There are facilities for Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports activities. The Central Library is spread in a huge area which acquires more than 13588 volumes of books and 134 National and International journals. The collection includes Textbooks, Atlases, Dictionaries, Directories, Encyclopaedias, Technical Reports. It has an excellent facility of E- Library and there are separate Departmental libraries as well.

Dr. B. S. alias Bhausaheb Sardesai established Talegaon General Hospital in 1925 with the vision to provide excellent health care at an affordable cost. He along with his team collaborated with MAEER , M.I.T. Pune to establish the medical college. The hospital is renamed after him as Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Rural Hospital in order to cherish his memories. The hospital is located in the same campus of the college. It is a 720 bedded Hospital which serves a large number of people around. It has Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Departments. It has 24X7 Emergency and Trauma care, Blood bank facilities. The Hospital has all the basic and advanced Medical facilities including Clinical and Diagnostic Laboratories and Dialysis facilities. There are major and minor Operation Theatres with fully equipped ICU's. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine.

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Maharashtra (State Government/Corporation/Private & Minority Colleges ) will have to register themselves for The Commissioner State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Medical education Under Graduate Courses ( Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra State, Mumbai ) admission process by filling out their application form. Maharashtra, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra State, Mumbai, MBBS / BDS admission. Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra State, Mumbai counseling is conducted in Three rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round). The fourth round being the College Round, if the number of vacant seats is x, then a 10x the list of registered candidates will be sent to the college and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit. Mop-Up Round (s): After conducting two or more CAP rounds of seat allotment for Government /Corporation /Private aided / Private Unaided / Minority colleges, if seats remain vacant due to nonallotment, nonreporting for admission and resigning after joining or any other reason, those seats will be filled in Mop-Up round(s). The details of the CAP Mop-Up round will be declared on the website in due course

INSTITUTION LEVEL ROUND FOR VACANT SEATS AFTER CAP Mop-Up ROUNDS: If the seat(s) remain vacant in Private Unaided /Private Minority Colleges after all CAP Mop-Up Rounds, the said seats shall be filled in by the Institution through Institution Level Round with the prior approval of the Competent Authority. The Dean or Principal of the institutions shall carry out the admission for these vacant seats by calling applications from eligible candidates for State quota on the basis of inter-se merit from the list of NEET-UG.
PAYMENT OF FEES: The fee for the course should be paid at the respective college by Demand Draft from any Nationalised / Scheduled Commercial Bank in favor of Dean/Principal of College, as applicable.
SERVICE BOND & PENALTY: As per Government Resolution (G.R. No. MED 1007/CR-490/07/Ed-2 dated 8th Feb 2008 and any G.R issued in this regard from time to time), candidates joined against the seats of Government/Municipal Corporation colleges for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses either through GOI nominee, All India quota or through NEET UG 2019 will be required to sign a bond to serve the Government of Maharashtra or local self-government or Defence services for a period of one year, after the completion of the internship, failing which he/she will be required to pay Non-Refundable Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lacs only) for the default as penalty.
