Maharishi Markandeshwar College of Medical Sciences & Research, Sadopur Maharishi Markandeshwar University Trust, formerly known as Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust, was founded with the vision of "Shaping the Future." It established Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Sadopur-Ambala, which originated as MM Group of Institutions in 2010, offering programs in Engineering, Technology, and Business Management.
Created under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006, and legislated under Haryana Govt. Act No. 29 of 2010, the university includes MM Group of Institutions, MM School of Architecture, and MM School of Pharmacy. The Trust has also founded a Deemed University at Mullana, MM International Schools in Sadopur, Rambha, and Mullana, MM School of Nursing and Midwifery at Mullana, and another State Private University in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Notably, it established the first private Engineering College, Medical College, and Deemed University in Haryana, along with the first private Medical Institute in Himachal Pradesh.

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Haryana must register through the Combined centralized counseling Deptt. of Medical Education & Research (DMER) Haryana (http://uhsugadmissions.in/) by filling out their application form. Haryana, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill out the application form for Haryana MBBS / BDS admission.

Eligibility For Admission Dept. of Medical Education & Research (DMER) Haryana
- 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR & 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
- Those who have qualified for NEET UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEETUG counseling rounds
- He/she has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of Undergraduate Medical Courses.

Admission to NRI Category (NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/Foreign National) Dept. of Medical Education & Research (DMER) Haryana
The procedure for admission to NRI quota seat shall be as under:-
- Only NEET-qualified candidates shall be eligible under NRI category. All admission under NRI category seats shall be as per merit of NEET.
- PIOs/OCIs and Foreign Nationals who are NEET qualified can also apply under the NRI category.
The preference for admission under the NRI category shall be considered as under:-
| Actual NRIs/OCIs/PIOs candidates who originally belonged to the State of Haryana. |
| Children of NRIs/OCIs/PIOs who originally belonged to Haryana State |
| Actual NRIs/OCIs/PIOs who originally belonged to an Indian State and Union Territories other than Haryana. |
| Children of NRIs/OCIs/PIOs who originally belonged to an Indian State and Union Territories other than Haryana |
If the first-degree relation of the student is NRI and residing abroad and the candidate fulfils the following condition:-

| Foreign Nationals shall be considered for admission under the NRI quota after exhausting the list of NRIs/ PIOs/OCIs. |
NOTE:- • The NRI students will have to give a Bank Guarantee/Surety Bond for the balance of fee if they opt to pay the fee in installments as provided. • Any seats remaining vacant under NRI Category shall be filled up by the NEET-qualified eligible foreign nationals. However, if the seats still remain vacant these shall be converted to Open Category seats in Government/Government Aided Medical Colleges and Management Category seats in Private Colleges |
