The Government Dental College Raipur, Chhattisgarh is one of the best dental colleges situated in the heart of the capital city, Raipur established in 2003. The campus is spread over an area of 5 acres. It is one of the greenest, eco-friendly campus that includes both the hostels and staff quarters, water plant, power house playground and rain water harvesting plant. The entire campus has round the clock security thus ensuring safety of its residents...

The College is affiliated to the Ayush and Health Sciences University of Chhattisgarh and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 29 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences. The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 183287 sq.ft  and with an open area of 124629 sqft. The college provides good infrastructure to provide Dental Education to students with dedicated faculty around. Currently the college is equipped with 291 Dental chairs and has well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment to deal with all kind of surgical and non surgical treatment as well. There are spacious classrooms and seminar halls and an auditorium. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately. It is attached with the Pt. J. N. M. Medical College, Raipur for clinical practice.

    Government Dental College Raipur, Chhattisgarh  BDS (Master Degrees in Dental Sciences ) Counseling is conducted by 1) MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)( Open To All )and 2) Department of Medical Education (DME) (State Domicile)

    The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), ESIC, AFMC(only Registration Part) &I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML& ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) 100% AIIMS, 100% JIPMER and B.Sc. Nursing (only 08 Central Institutes). The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Testing Agency i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body.

     There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India). All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by the NTA will be eligible for participation in the counselling process. Eligible candidates may download the Rank letter/ Result from NTA website

    Who registered in Round-2 & exited with Forfeiture of fees without joining can register again with payment of fees. However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission upto Round-2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities will not be eligible to participate in Mop Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round. (Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again).

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Chhattisgarh will have to register themselves for the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) admission process by filling out their application form. Chhattisgarh, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of Directorate of Medical Education (DME), MBBS / BDS  admission. Directorate of Medical Education (DME) counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Subsequent MOP UP rounds). Seat selection for Government Seats and for Management quota seats will be through web counseling

    Eligibility For Admission
    1. Qualification:

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET -UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET -UG counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
