The Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College, Rohini, Delhi is a Government College established in the Year 2016. The College is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, located in Delhi and recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC). It has an annual intake of 125 seats in MBBS. 

The college campus is spread in a sprawling area of over 30 acres where Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital is also located. It has very good and decent infrastructure with spacious centrally air-conditioned classrooms, 3 Lecture halls to accommodate around 130, Examination rooms, Demonstration rooms, Seminar halls. There are Departmental museums and well-equipped Laboratories. Cafeteria and Recreation halls are amongst the best. There are separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls and Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports facilities. The college has a separate library building which is open 24X7 with an excellent collection of medical books of over 3100 and over 300 journals, back volumes, Atlases, Dictionaries, Directories, Encyclopaedias, Technical Reports. There are separate Reading rooms and the E- library has good Internet facility. The college has a faculty in the pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical disciplines. 

The Teaching Hospital

The Medical college is attached to Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital ( BSAMCH) which is a 500 bedded multi-speciality Hospital with super specialties like Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Pulmonology and Urology. It provides comprehensive medical care services to the residents of North and North West Delhi. The Hospital has 10 Operation Theatre Complex with well-equipped Intensive Care units. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Pain and Palliative care, Sports Injury, Physiotherapy.     Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will have to register themselves for the IPU MBBS admission process by filling out their application form. IPU  MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET

    Eligibility Criteria: 

    • Candidate must have passed 12th class examination in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions). 
    • For the seats of Delhi Category / Quota, candidates who have studied 10+2 (11th and 12th) classes in the recognized School/College in Delhi and passed the qualifying examination from any School/College located in Delhi only shall be eligible for MBBS Programme

    Admission Criteria: 

    • All candidates must appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate of (NEET-UG ) and qualify to be considered for admissions.
    • The candidate should be not less than seventeen (17) years as of 31st December 
    • For SC/ST/OBC category candidates for MBBS/BDS, a relaxation of 5 years shall be granted on the maximum age specified. 

    Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS) 

    There were 100 seats for the MBBS program at ACMS, which are filled by wards/children of eligible Army Personnel and reservation of seats of students of SC/ST category would be as per Govt. of NCT Of Delhi Policy. 

    The admission to the ACMS is for the children of eligible serving Army personnel, Ex-Army personnel, and war widows/widows of the Army. The children of the following categories of Army personnel are eligible and they are required to submit the relevant certificate as given against the category applicable to them as proof of their eligibility for admission to ACMS at the time of Counseling/Admission: 

    • The applicants must fall into one of the following categories
    1. Children of serving Army personnel with a minimum of 10 years of continuous service in the Army.
    2. Children of Ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, family pension, liberalized family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge or Release/Invalidment Medical Board. This includes children of recruits medically boaded out and granted disability pension. 
    3. Children of Ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or been released after ten years of service. 
    • Adopted/stepchildren and children of remarried widows: 
    1. Adopted Children of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission.
    2.   Stepchildren are eligible, provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army and who is otherwise eligible. 
    • Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases : 
    1. Children of Army Medical/Dental Corps Officers presently serving with Navy or Air Force who have served in the Army for at least 10 years. 
    2. Children of APS personnel classified as Ex-serviceman as per Govt. of India, Ministry of Defense, letter No 9 (52)/88/D(Res) dated 19 Jul 89. 
    3. Children of APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the Army. 
    4. Children of APS personnel who are directly recruited into APS & competed 10 years of service and who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army. 
    5. Children of members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of pension from the Army. vi. Children of TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.
