Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) is a medical college located in Bilaspur which was established in the year 2001. The college is affiliated to Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur and is recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC), India. It has an annual intake of 180 seats in MBBS and 27 seats in 9 disciplines of Postgraduate studies. 

The Medical College and Hospital is spread over 25+ acres with state of the art infrastructure. There are very good spacious 2 well furnished Classrooms, Lecture halls with all digital facilities and Departmental lecture halls are also available. There are Examination halls & Demonstration rooms with Seminar Halls. The Institute is fully equipped with clinical Laboratories and Departmental Museums and a World Class Air-Conditioned Auditorium with a Seating Capacity of 1500. Library and information center is located in a huge area with good collection of Medical Books of over 12000+, 200 Indian &  50 Foreign Journals with separate reading space for students & Teaching Staff and a Digital Library. There are facilities for Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports like Table Tennis, Badminton and outdoor game Play Ground available for Volleyball, Football & Cricket.

The Teaching Hospital - Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS)

The Medical college is attached to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh which is a 500 bedded tertiary care hospital with all the modern facilities. The hospital has 24X7 emergency and trauma care facility, Eye bank and blood bank facilities are available. There are very good clinical and diagnostic facilities in the Hospital. State of the art 10 OTs are functional and distributed department wise. It includes one emergency OT with 3 Tables (one for septic cases). There are well equipped ICU's and 10 bedded ICCU with all modern facilities like Ventilators, Central Monitoring System, Multipara Monitors, Defibrillators, Electrocardiograms, Nebulizers, Central Oxygen and suction facilities etc. for management of critical ill cardiac patients. A bedside Echocardiography machine is also installed in ICCU. The Hospital has facilities for burn treatment, Critical care services, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry & Forensic Medicine.     Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS), MBBS NEETUG Counseling is conducted by 1) MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)( Open To All )and 2) Directorate of Medical Education (DME)(State Domicile)

    The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), ESIC, AFMC(only Registration Part) &I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML& ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) 100% AIIMS, 100% JIPMER and B.Sc. Nursing (only 08 Central Institutes).The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Testing Agency i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body

     There will be four rounds of AIQ online counseling i.e. AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-Up Round and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA (C) No. 10487 of 2021 in the matter of Nihila P.P. v/s MCC & Ors. Hon’ble Supreme Court of India) which will be conducted in online mode. All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across the Country. Eligible candidates may download the Rank letter/ Result from NTA website. Cut-off rank of eligible candidates will also be available on the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in). No seats will be reverted back after the completion of round 2 of AIQ to the States. 

    Reservation Policy for 15% All India Quota seats: 

    The Reservation Policy of the Central Government for the NEET-UG Counselling in All India Quota is as follows:

    S.C.- 15% 

    S.T.- 7.5% 

    O.B.C.- (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list- 27%

     EWS- as per Central Government norms- 10%

     PwD- Horizontal Reservation as per NMC norms- 5%

    NOTE:- Reservation of seats under PWD Category is 5% in AIQ & as per NMC norms (Gazette Notification no. MCI-34(41)/2018-Med./170045 dated 04/02/2019). For range of disabilities included, please see Annexure ‘1’.

(Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again).

    Directorate of Medical Education (DME) conducts counselling  MBBS NEETUG For Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS)

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Chhattisgarh will have to register themselves for the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) admission process by filling out their application form. Chhattisgarh, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of Directorate of Medical Education (DME), MBBS / BDS  admission. Directorate of Medical Education (DME) counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Subsequent MOP UP rounds). Seat selection for Government Seats and for Management quota seats will be through web counseling

    Eligibility For Admission
     

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET -UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET -UG counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

    Registration

    Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling of Chhattisgarh NEETUG need to register on the official website of the DME. The steps for online registration have been given below:

    • Visit the official website at cgdme.co.in
    • On the homepage, click on the link that reads,” NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) Application form ”
    • Enter the student login credentials such as NEET Roll number/ Username, and click on the sign-in option.
    • Fill up the application form. Upload the documents, if required.
    • Pay the application fee.
    • Submit the form and take a printout of it for future reference.

    Government Seats (State Quota)

    Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

    • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
    • Government seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to:
