Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Rohtak is a part of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak. This is the only Dental College in the state of Haryana owned by the State Govt. and fully aided by the Govt. Pt. B.D.Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak is situated at a distance of about 240 km from Chandigarh and about 70 km from Delhi on Delhi-Hissar-Sirsa-Fazilka National Highway (NH-10). It is the only major Institution for Medical Education and Research and a tertiary care centre for provision of specialized health care services not only to the people of the State of Haryana, but also to those from Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and western U.P.

The college is affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Medical Sciences, Rohtak and and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India with the annual intake of 60 seats in BDS and 36 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.

The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 175050 sq.ft and a non-constructed area of 10000 sqft with state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 211 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment. There are technology driven air conditioned gallery type lecture halls with audio-visual and multimedia projection capabilities. There are spacious examination hall and seminar halls. The Library is spread in a huge area with good collection of books and National and International Journals with back volumes with an excellent E-Library facility to benefit the students. State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. There is a Dental education museum within the campus. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately with staff quarters. The playground in the sprawling campus is ideal for basketball, football, cricket and volleyball and other games. It is attached with the Medical college (PGIMS) for clinical practice

1 ) MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)(15%) (Open To All )

The MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of MBBS AND BDS seats to the NEETUG/BDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 50% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG/MDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body

There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India). All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) will be eligible for participation in the counselling process. Directorate of Medical Education and Research Haryana conducts Online Combined Centralized Counselling for all Government/Government Aided/Private Unaided Medical/Dental Institutes affiliated to Pt. B.D Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and also Medical/Dental Colleges under Private Universities i.e. SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram and PDM University, Bahadurgarh in the State of Haryana on the basis of merit list prepared as per the marks obtained in the NEET UG 2023. In order to participate in the admission process, it is necessary to fill Directorate of Medical Education and Research HARYANA MBBS UG Admission Counseling medical application form in the online mode ( http://dmerharyana.org/admissions/ )
