Mithila Minority Dental College & Hospital is a Private college Established in the year of 1989 and is the second-oldest dental college in the Indian state of Bihar. The College is affiliated to the the L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga (Bihar) and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India. with the annual intake of 60 seats in BDS and and 23 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.

The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 149111 sq.ft and with an open area of 79699 sqft. The college has developed an impressive infrastructure with an equally impressive academic staff to provide Dental Education to students. Currently the college is equipped with 190 Dental chairs and has well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. There are spacious classrooms and seminar halls and an auditorium. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately. It is attached with the Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital for clinical practice. There are indoor and outdoor games and sports facilities like: Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, Carrom boards and other games.

Admission Process

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in BIHAR

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission 2023 at BIHAR will have to register themselves for the BCECE (UGMAC 2023) admission process by filling out their application form. West Bengal, MBBS/BDS admission 2023 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of BCECE (UGMAC 2023), MBBS / BDS 2023 admission. BCECE (UGMAC 2023) counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Subsequent MOP UP rounds). Seat selection for Government Seats and for Management quota seats will be through web counseling

Eligibility For Admission
1. Qualification:

  • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • Those who have qualified NEET 2020 by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2020 counseling rounds
  • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

Government Seats (State Quota)

Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

  • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
  • 50% of the available seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to: : SC – 16%%, ST- 1%%,  Backward Classes (BC)-12% Reserved Category Girls (RCG)-3, Extremely Backward Class (EBC)-18%
  • 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category

Management Quota

15% of  NRI quota (NRI/NRI Sponsored) Seats in case of Private Dental College
