The Govt. Dental College, Alappuzha, is the fourth Government Dental college Established in the year of 2014. The College is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences and recognized by Dental Council of Indiawith the annual intake of 50 seats in BDS.
The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 84779 sq.ft and a non-constructed area of 82558 sqft with state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 106 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment. There are technology driven air conditioned gallery type lecture halls with audio-visual and multimedia projection capabilities. There are spacious examination hall and seminar halls. The Library is spread in a huge area with good collection of books and National and International Journals with back volumes with an excellent E-Library facility to benefit the students.State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission 2020 at Kerala a. will have to register themselves for the KEAM – 2020 www.cee.kerala.gov.in. in admission section for admission process by filling out their application form. Kerala, MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Examand meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of KEAM – 2020 MBBS / BDS 2020 admission. Reservation Of Seats
Reservation for All India Quota for MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges: Fifteen percent of the total sanctioned seats in MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges in the State are set apart for the allotment of the candidates by the Director General of Health Services, Government of India on the basis of the rank obtained in the NEET-UG 2020 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi.
The Government seats for each course in Govt./Aided/KAU/KVASU/KUFOS Colleges will be distributed as per the mandatory reservation principle as contemplated in G.O. (P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, G.O.(Ms)No.95/08/SCSTDD Dated 06.10.2008, GO(Ms) No. 10/2014/BCDD Dated 23.05.2014 and as modified from time to time. The percentage break-up of seats as per mandatory reservation is as follows:
