The KMCT Medical College was established in 2008. The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC)   and is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The college offers 150 seats in MBBS, Postgraduate Courses in 15 departments. KMCT Medical College is a Muslim Minority Co-Education College helping all the students of the Minority community from Kerala and other states across India to get admission into Medicine. KMCT is located in the serene hillocks of Manassery and Mampatta around 25 Km from Calicut in Kerala. Away from the commotion of the city, the Campus is set in a lush green and tranquil environment - an ideal place to pursue education. The campuses of Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM K), National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) are all situated in a radius of 10 km from the campus. The college has world-class infrastructure with tall buildings an excellent Wi-Fi enabled campus .The college has  a total of six lecture halls used by different departments.  Among the lecture halls, four of them can accommodate more than 180 students each and one can accommodate more than 200 students.  They are spacious, air-conditioned and fitted with all modern amenities like microphones and overhead projectors. KMCT Medical College has six museums in the campus for the Preclinical and Paraclinical departments of Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Pathology. Separate hostels are available for both boys and girls. Along with that, there are interns hostel, residential quarters, teaching and non-teaching staff quarters and nurses hostel inside the campus. They are secure and well maintained. Central library is housed in a 2400 sqm area with air-conditioned. The Campus has a number of option for recreation for the students. There are facilities to play games like Football, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Badminton.

KMCT Medical College Hospital, which is a tertiary level multispecialty hospital with more than 650+ beds. Ultramodern imaging facilities under department of Radio diagnosis and Imaging with X-ray, Ultrasound , Doppler, CT Scan and MRI Scan facilities. The hospital has experienced consultants in all specialties such as General Medicine, Pediatrics, Respiratory Disease, Skin & VD, Physiotherapy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Eye, OBS & Gynecology, anesthesia and Radio Diagnosis. The hospital has modern infrastructure and provision to provide appropriate care to patients of accident, medical and surgical emergency as well as to provide intensive care to new born children, cardiac and respiration patients.. The blood bank of the institute is also well equipped with blood testing facilities, latest gadgetry and a cold room for good storage capacity . With 80 to 90% occupancy, it provides an excellent range of clinical Experience to undergraduate(UG) and post-graduate (PG) students and researchers.

    KMCT Medical College Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Counseling is conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Kerala will have to register themselves for the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM  in the admission section for the admission process by filling out their application form. Kerala, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for KEAM  MBBS / BDS admission. KEAM  counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Subsequent MOP UP rounds). Seat selection for Government Seats and for Management quota seats will be through web counseling

    Eligibility For Admission into Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM
    1. Qualification:

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

    Government Seats (State Quota) Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM

    Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

    • Government seats are available in all the Govt. and Aided Colleges.
    • The availability of Government seats in Self-financing Colleges run by institutions under Govt. control and Private Self-financing colleges will be notified separately. Those candidates who seek admission in Private Self-financing colleges are bound to accept the conditions stipulated in the agreement between Government and Self-financing College Management(s) and deemed to have accepted such conditions.
    • Management Seats: The seats set apart in the Aided institutions, to be filled up by the Managements concerned are called Management Seats.
    • Categorization of Seats in Self-Financing Institutions: The categorization of seats in Self-financing Colleges run by institutions under Govt. control and other Private Self-financing colleges will be notified separately. “As per the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated: 09.05.2017 on WP(C) No. 267/2017, the allotments/admissions to the State Quota seats in all the Government as well as Private Self Financing Medical and Dental colleges shall be done through a Common Counseling to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The Common Counseling will include NRI seats in Self Financing Medical & Dental Colleges and Minority Community Quota seats in Private Self Financing Medical & Dental Colleges having Minority Status.”

    Reservation Of Seats

    Reservation for All India Quota for MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges: Fifteen percent of the total sanctioned seats in MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges in the State are set apart for the allotment of the candidates by the Director-General of Health Services, Government of India on the basis of the rank obtained in the NEET-UG  conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi.

    Reservation for All India Quota for MBBS Courses in Self-Financing Medical colleges:- Fifteen percent of the seats for the admission of students to MBBS Courses in Self-Financing Medical Colleges in Kerala are set apart for the allotment of candidates irrespective of their Domicile as per the rank obtained in the NEET-UG conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) New Delhi.

    Mandatory Reservation The Government seats for each course in Govt./Aided/KAU/KVASU/KUFOS Colleges will be distributed as per the mandatory reservation principle as contemplated in G.O. (P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, G.O.(Ms)No.95/08/SCSTDD Dated 06.10.2008, GO(Ms) No. 10/2014/BCDD Dated 23.05.2014 and as modified from time to time. The percentage break-up of seats as per mandatory reservation is as follows:
