The Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Ahmedabad, is a Govt College is one of the oldest dental institutes imparting its services to the people of Gujarat and its neighboring states which was established in the year of 1963. The course offered by the college is affiliated to Gujarat University and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India with the annual intake of 125 seats in BDS and 53 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.
The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 188368 sq.ft and a non constructed area of 179757 with state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 305 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. There are technology driven spacious 4 lecture halls each having a capacity of 100 students and 1 conference room. There is a spacious examination hall with a seating capacity of 250 students at a time with seminar halls and a huge Auditorium . The Library is spread in a huge area with good collection of books and National and International Journals with back volumes. There is an excellent E-Library facility as well to benefit the students. State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. There is a Dental education museum within the campus. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately with staff quarters. The playground in the sprawling campus is ideal for basketball, football, cricket and volleyball. It has a dedicated jogging and cycling track too. It is attached with the B. J. Medical College , Ahmedabad for clinical practice. It has a daily OPD of more than 400 patients from Gujarat as well as neighboring states providing quality treatment to them.

The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), ESIC, AFMC(only Registration Part) &I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML& ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) 100% AIIMS, 100% JIPMER and B.Sc. Nursing (only 08 Central Institutes). The role of MCC of DGHS is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from National Testing Agency i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body.
There will be four rounds of AIQ counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round (SLA(C) No. 10487 of 2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India). The responsibility of the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) is limited to the conduct of centralized counseling, which includes online registration, document verification, online/offline counseling procedure, seat allotment, and issue of admission order as per NEET-UG of the current academic year. The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) will have to register themselves for the ACPUGMEC admission process by filling out their application form. Gujarat, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET.
Candidates who will qualify NEET UG Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for Gujarat, MBBS / BDS admission. Online information provided by candidates like name of the candidate, contact address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc. during online submission of application form for NEET-UG of the current academic year will be treated as correct and ACPUGMEC will not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for change. ACPUGMEC disclaims any liability that may arise to the candidate(s) due to incorrect information provided by the candidate during the online registration process.
There shall be only two Rounds (Round 1 and Round 2 ) of common counseling, each conducted by the Admission Committee. Manual counseling for the allotment (Mop-Up (Offline) Round of Counseling) of students shall be conducted by the Admission Committee to ascertain the number of seats that still remain vacant after the two rounds of online counseling. A list of students in order of merit shall be prepared by the Admission Committee so that in case of any stray vacancy arising in any college, the said seat shall be filled up from the merit list.

*The candidate applying for NRI Quota, document verification and submission will be done only at Office of ACPUGMEC, Ground Floor, GMERS Medical College, Civil Hospital Campus, Gandhinagar – 382016, Gujarat.
