The University College of Medical Sciences & GTB Hospital, is a Government College established in the Year 1971. The College is affiliated to Delhi University, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college has an annual intake of 170 seats in MBBS, 185 seats in 22 disciplines of Post-Graduate studies and 2 seats in 1 discipline of Super-Specialization studies. UCMS was the first Indian medical college to start a Medical Humanities Group, and it organized the first 'Theatre of the Oppressed' workshop for medical students in India in 2011. UCMS was ranked 10th among medical colleges in India in 2020 by India Today. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked it 19 among medical colleges in 2020. Known for its quality research, UCMS has grabbed a National ranking of 7th based on the number of publications in PubMed indexed journals. The Meritorious/Eminent Faculty of UCMS are enlisted on expert groups of UNICEF, WHO, UNAIDS, World Bank, ICMR, ICMR, NACO, DST and CSIR.
UCMS has a huge campus, which includes the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) as training hospital. There are huge air-conditioned 3 lecture halls to accommodate around 180 with A-V aids and another lecture hall with a seating capacity of 90. An air-conditioned Examination hall with a seating capacity of 170. Lecture theatres are also used for guest lectures, clinical meetings, debates and quiz contests, conferences/seminars/workshops, and cultural activities including film shows. In addition, Demonstration rooms and common rooms are in place. Central Animal House (CAH) caters to augment the teaching, training and research facilities and to meet the growing demand for high quality laboratory animals at UCMS. , Medical Skills Lab & Departmental museums. The well-equipped, modernized, and latest Technology-driven equipment make the Laboratory unique. The Central Library is located in a separate building adjacent to the main building of the college. The Library operates from first and second floor of Library-cum-Conference Block. Central Library and 17 Departmental Libraries, which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the college. The Central Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, journals, back volume of journals, theses, WHO publications, CD ROMs and internet services.
The Teaching Hospital - Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital
is a large hospital situated at Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Delhi, India, and is affiliated to and acts as the teaching hospital of University College of Medical Sciences with more than 1700 beds. Outpatient clinics are held in the Outpatient Department. There are 3 floors (ground, 1st and 2nd floors). Each floor has approximately 100 rooms. The hospital has all the specialities in place with very good patient care facilities. The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at UNIVERSITY OF DELHI FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES will have to register themselves for the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) admission process by filling out their application form. MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET-UG.

a) Main counseling Registration which will include payment of Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made).

d) Publication of result of Round-1on MCC website
e) Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against 1 Round.
ROUND-2 (Candidates who registered for Round-1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again.)
a) Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who • Have not registered in Round-1 (with full payment of fees). • Have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not register again. • Fresh Choice filling Round-2.
b) Publication of result of Round-2 on MCC website.
c) Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2
END of 15 % All India Counselling and reverting of Non-Joined, Not allotted seats to State quota / Institutional Quota of Central University /Central Institute. MOP –UP ROUND
Mop Up Round (Only for Deemed/ Central Universities, ESIC, AIIMS & JIPMER)
Fresh Registration with payment of registration fee for Mop Up Round for the following candidates :
i. Those who registered in Round-1 & exited availing Free Exit
ii. Who registered in Round-2 & exited with Forfeiture of fees can register again with payment of fees.
However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission in Round-2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER will not be eligible to participate in Mop Up Round. (Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again).
