 The institute was started in 2003 to provide competent and evidence-based dental care in a synergistic environment. Since its founding, the institute has graduated several dentists. Even though the curriculum follows the prescribed Dental Council of India (DCI) format, there's constant up-gradation on the course content based on the inputs from alumni and the practicing dental community. The approach taught here is patient-centered and is constantly evaluated to integrate evolving biotechnological advances within the context of health promotion and disease prevention. The BDS course offered at SVS is recognized by the DCI and is affiliated to KNRUHS.

    Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in Telangana

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at KNR University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS)  will have to register themselves for the KNRUHS admission process by filling out their application form. Telangana MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET-UG. Candidates who qualify NEET-UG Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for Telangana MBBS / BDS admission. KNRUHS counseling is conducted in Three Rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round) & for BDS there can be an extended mop-up if the percentile is decreased. This extended round will be conducted by the competent authority and if the seats are still vacant, then the college will be allowed to fill the seats from the merit list sent. Seat selection for Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota) will be exclusively through web counseling and for Management quota seats will be through offline counseling

    Eligibility For Admission
    Qualification:

    • Educational Qualifications: The Candidates should pass two years Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry/ Botany, Zoology and English individually, and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates, belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes, the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
    • Those who have qualified NEET-UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET-UG counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

    Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

    Competent Authority Quota (CQ) includes seats in Government colleges and Government shares of seats in Private colleges.

    • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
    • 50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and 60% of Minority Medical college and 50% in case of private Non-Minority Dental College
    • Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats along with 85% seats reserved for the local area.
    • 29% of the available seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes as follows: · BC-A -7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7% & BC-E*-4%
    • 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category
    • 33 1/3% of seats are guaranteed for women and candidates in each category
    • 15% seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, 6% of seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes in each local area.

    • Competent Authority Quota seats in Minority Medical Colleges will be allotted to Muslim Minority Candidates only. Muslim Minority Candidates are also eligible for Competent Authority Quota seats in other Medical Colleges.
    • 3% seats shall be reserved for differently-abled candidates in each Category
    • In respect of Statewide Institutions, admission into 85% of seats in each course Shall bé reserved for the candidates belonging to three local areas in the State specified in this sub-rule namely, Andhra University Area (Andhra), Osmania University Area (Telangana), and Sri Venkateswara University .area (Rayalaseema) In the ratio of 42:36:22 respectively and v the balance of 15% seats shall" be unreserved seats:

    (A) '' The Local Areas '' means 

    (a) The part of the State comprising the Districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad (Including Twin Cities) Rangareddy, Karimnagar, ’Khammam, Medak, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, and Warangal shall be regarded as the Osmania University Local. Area (Telangana)

     (b) The part of the state comprising the District of Srikakulam Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam, East \ Godavari, Wes Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, and Prakasham shall be regarded as the Andhra University Local area (Andhra) 

    (c) The part of the State comprising the Districts of Ananthapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Çuddapph, and Nellore shall be regarded as the Sri Venkateswara University Local Area (Rayalaseéma)

    (B) The Local Candidate: A candidate for admission shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area. 

    a) If he has studied in educational institutions in such a local area for a period of not less 4 than four consecutive academic years ending with the. The academic year in which he appeared or as the case may be first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination. 

    b) Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he appeared or as the case may first appear for the relevant qualifying examination, he has not studied in any educational institutions, If he has resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination which he appeared or as the case may first appear.

    Management Quota (MQ)

    50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and  40% Minority Medical College

    The Management Quota Seats are categorized into Management Quota

    (a) Sub - Category - B. 35%, Management Quota 25% Minority Medical College

     (b) Sub - Category - C. 15% NRI quota (NRI/NRI Sponsored) 

    Candidates from all the States and Union territories of India are eligible.

    * In Un-aided Muslim Minority Medical Colleges, seats are reserved for Muslim Minority Candidates only. In case Muslim Minority Candidates are not available, then the seats may be filled up with Non-minority students up to a maximum of 30% during the final phase of counseling.

    *Foreign Students / NRI candidates are eligible for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses under Management Quota Category – C Seats. Candidates should specifically put the option for NRI Category in the online application to be considered for NRI / C-Category

The candidates can exercise web options for MBBS and BDS seats in all Medical/Dental Colleges under KNRUHS including Army Dental College through https://tsmedadm.tsche.in/ 

    Web Allotment for Phase 1 The selected candidates shall download the allotment letter from the website after payment of the University fee by gateway method by using the Online payment method. ( Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).

    *The University fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances

    Reporting at the Allotted College -Candidate has to take a printout of allotment order, check their allotment, and report to the Principal of respective college before the last date specified on the allotment letter. 

    * verification of original certificates will be conducted at the college of admission and in case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be canceled and action may be initiated as per University regulations.
