Sri Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) was started in the year 1988 by Sri Siddhartha Educational Society (SSES). The Medical College and hospital is located in the outskirts of Tumkur city around 90kms from Bangalore. It is well-connected by Road, Rail and Aerial routes. SSMC is Affiliated to Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, (Deemed University) Tumkur, located in Karnataka and is Recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) . MBBS seats are capped at an annual intake of 150 seats and 49 seats in 16 departments of Post-Graduation studies. 

The Medical College and hospital is located amidst lush green field in a vast campus of 220 acres. There are 24 buildings with a built-in area of about 91,875 sq.mt , which includes furnished quarters for staffs. There are separate buildings for pre and para-clinical departments, library information center and the Hospital. The modern academic facilities includes spacious classrooms, Lecture halls, Examination Halls, Common Rooms, Demo rooms. Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1200 State of the art Departmental museums are in place and is completely equipped with modern laboratories. Gymnasium, Sports and Recreational corner for UG and PG students. Well-structured Library of 12600sqft area with huge collection of Books and Journals. Separate Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls within the campus. Canteen facility is available within the campus.

The Super Specialities include Urology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Paediatric Surgery and Cardiology. Sri Siddhartha Medical College & Hospital in association with Kardiac Frontida started the Siddhartha Advanced Heart Center to serve the poor and needy and It has state-of-the-art equipment with the latest Cardiac Care Unit setup to nurture patients post cardiac surgeries.

    Sri Siddhartha Medical College MBBS NEETUG Counseling is conducted by  MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)( Open To All ) 

    MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) COUNSELING PROCESS:-

    The MCC/DGHS conducts Counseling for allotment of Under Graduate (MBBS/BDS and B.sc. Nursing) seats to the NEET UG/BDS eligible and qualified candidates in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of the country under 15% All India Quota and 100% Central & Deemed University quota every year. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG/BDS conducted by NBE including candidates from Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The role of the MCC of DGHS is limited to the allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/Information of successful candidates from the National Board of Examinations (NBE) i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body

    Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions/ orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India &Ors.) dated 22-08- 2017 are eligible for NRI Category seats. OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals will be eligible for only NRI seats. The eligible Indian National Candidates wanting to get converted to sponsored NRI category have to submit the documents as and when the same is called for by the MCC.

    Eligibility Condition:

    • The Candidate should have qualified NEET UG.
    • Domicile free Counseling (Open to all)

    Step Wise Counseling Process conducted by MCC:  Sri Siddhartha Medical College

                   There are four rounds of counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round. Out of the four rounds for Deemed Universities, 03 rounds are conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round is conducted physically by the Deemed Universities for which the list of registered & eligible Candidates is forwarded by MCC to the respective Deemed Universities. The allotment shall only be in terms of merit

    1. “Satisfied with the allotted seat and candidate is willing to report to the allotted college, not interested in further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any discipline”.
    2. The candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat but wishes to participate in the next round. Such candidates should pay the prescribed fees
    3. The candidate is not satisfied with the present allotment and wishes to participate in the next round of counseling. The previously allotted seat is forfeited and offered to the next eligible candidate
    4. Not satisfied with MCC allotted seat and candidate has got seat elsewhere, so the candidate is quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds

    2nd Round:- (AIQ, Deemed University, Central University/Institutes, DNB)

    Fresh Registration for Mop-up Round (not required for earlier resigned candidates)

    • Notification for counseling process
    • NRI application with appropriate documents to be mailed for opening the NRI portal ([email protected])
    • Registration fee varies as per the Filling of application form for AIQ, Deemed, CU, DU, Central Institutes, AFMS
    • Seat matrix display

    • If Allotted (No Free Exit)(Exit With Forfeiture of Fees )(No Upgradation For Next Round)
    • Reporting at the Medical Institutions/university against 2nd Round (candidates who joined the allotted seat against 2nd Round are not allowed to vacate the seat)

    • There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
    • There will be no choice filling in Stray Vacancy Round. The choices filled during the Mop-Up round will be considered for allotment in Stray Vacancy Round.
    • Allotment of seats ‘Online’ by running software
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round

    Stray vacancies:- (DEEMED)

    • Final Stray Vacancy Round to be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round)
    • List of ten times (of the registered candidates) of the number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
    • For Deemed Universities the Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the respective Deemed University
    • Eligible candidates who are not holding any seat can participate in Stray Vacancy Round
