    Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Punjab

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission 2020 at Punjab will have to register themselves through Combined centralized counselling under the aegis of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. by filling out their application form. Punjab, MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of Punjab, MBBS / BDS 2020 admission. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1(online), Round 2(Physical Counseling), and Mop-up Round(Physical Counseling)). Fourth round being the College Round, if the number of vacant seats is x, then 10x list of registered candidates will be sent to the college and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.

    1. Qualification:

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET 2020 by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2020 counseling rounds
    • He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Courses ..

    Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

    Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

    • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
    • Reservation in Government Medical/ Dental Institutes shall be as under:
    1. Scheduled Castes         25%
    2. Backward Classes        ,           10%
    3. Backward Area/ Border Area   (1%      each)
    4. Physically handicapped/ orthopedically handicapped only 5%
    5. Sports Persons  1%
    6. Children/Grandchildren of terrorist affected persons  - 1 %
    7. Children/Grandchildren of Sikh riot affected persons-1%

    Management Quota

    Management/Minority quota seats-  50% (including 15% NRI quota)

    Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Seats

    15% seats in all Private Institutes/Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Faridkot and 13 seats each in Govt. Medical College. Patiala and Amritsar and 3 seats in Govt. Dental College, Amritsar and 4 seats in Govt. Dental College, Patiala shall be earmarked for the Non-Resident Indians in the following order:

    Category I: NRI/Children of NRI who originally belong to the State of Punjab.

    Category II- NRI/Children of NRI who originally belong to an Indian State other than Punjab
