The Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Chalakka, Ernakulam, founded by Gurudeva Charitable Trust (GCT) is established in the Year 2009. The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC)   and is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The college offers 150 seats in MBBS, Postgraduate Courses in 2 departments. The location of SNIMS is 14 km away from Nedumbassery Cochin International Airport in between national highways NH 47 and NH 17 at Chalakka, spread over 46 acres, away from the noisy congested city. 5 Air-conditioned, gallery type Lecture Theatres are available in this institution out of which 4 have seating capacity for 120 students each. Another one is on the Hospital side of capacity for 150 students. The audio-visual aids including Overhead Projector, Slide Projector, LCD Projector, and microphone are also provided. All the departments share these Lecture Halls in a scheduled manner. E-Class facility is also available. Central Library is provided in the Level 1 of Academic Block. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are provided where spacious rooms are available, along with common rooms, computer rooms, gymnasium, and facilities for indoor games adding to the attraction. Canteen facilities are excellent where good quality food is served

A well-equipped gymnasium and sports ground are provided for students within the college campus. The Institution has top sports facilities including Basket Ball Court, Foot Ball Court & Badminton Court. Health Insurance is mandatory for all students.

 Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital is a 500-bed hospital Multispecialty hospital medical College teaching hospital that offers various modalities of a treatment facility in both broad specialty and super specialty services attached to the college. With 80 to 90% occupancy, it provides an excellent range of clinical Experiences to undergraduate(UG) and post-graduate (PG) students and researchers. it’s well equipped with modern facilities for diagnosis and treatment. Clinical board’s general specialties viz. Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, and Radiology three paraclinical departments viz. Pathology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry are working in the hospital. The central laboratory performs all basic investigations. Basic imaging services like X-Ray and USG, CT Scan, and MRI Scan.

    Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Counseling is conducted by Sree Narayana Instt. of Medical Sciences

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Kerala will have to register themselves for the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM  in the admission section for the admission process by filling out their application form. Kerala, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for KEAM  MBBS / BDS admission. KEAM  counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Subsequent MOP UP rounds). Seat selection for Government Seats and for Management quota seats will be through web counseling

    Eligibility For Admission into Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM
    1. Qualification:

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

    Government Seats (State Quota)  Commissioner for Entrance Examinations KEAM

    Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

    • Government seats are available in all the Govt. and Aided Colleges.
    • The availability of Government seats in Self-financing Colleges run by institutions under Govt. control and Private Self-financing colleges will be notified separately. Those candidates who seek admission in Private Self-financing colleges are bound to accept the conditions stipulated in the agreement between Government and Self-financing College Management(s) and deemed to have accepted such conditions.
    • Management Seats: The seats set apart in the Aided institutions, to be filled up by the Managements concerned are called Management Seats.
    • Categorization of Seats in Self-Financing Institutions: The categorization of seats in Self-financing Colleges run by institutions under Govt. control and other Private Self-financing colleges will be notified separately. “As per the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated: 09.05.2017 on WP(C) No. 267/2017, the allotments/admissions to the State Quota seats in all the Government as well as Private Self Financing Medical and Dental colleges shall be done through a Common Counseling to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The Common Counseling will include NRI seats in Self Financing Medical & Dental Colleges and Minority Community Quota seats in Private Self Financing Medical & Dental Colleges having Minority Status.”

    Reservation Of Seats

    Reservation for All India Quota for MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges: Fifteen percent of the total sanctioned seats in MBBS/BDS Courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges in the State are set apart for the allotment of the candidates by the Director-General of Health Services, Government of India on the basis of the rank obtained in the NEET-UG  conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi.

    Reservation for All India Quota for MBBS Courses in Self-Financing Medical colleges:- Fifteen percent of the seats for the admission of students to MBBS Courses in Self-Financing Medical Colleges in Kerala are set apart for the allotment of candidates irrespective of their Domicile as per the rank obtained in the NEET-UG conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) New Delhi.

    Mandatory Reservation The Government seats for each course in Govt./Aided/KAU/KVASU/KUFOS Colleges will be distributed as per the mandatory reservation principle as contemplated in G.O. (P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, G.O.(Ms)No.95/08/SCSTDD Dated 06.10.2008, GO(Ms) No. 10/2014/BCDD Dated 23.05.2014 and as modified from time to time. The percentage break-up of seats as per mandatory reservation is as follows:
