Faculty of Dental Sciences The S.G.T. Dental College, Hospital & Research Institute, established in 2002, became the Faculty of Dental Sciences with the advent of the SGT University from the academic session 2013-14. The college is affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Medical Sciences, Rohtak and recognized by Dental Council of India and Govt of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 52 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences. Faculty of Dental Sciences has two Centres of Excellence namely, SGT Centre for Microscopy Enhanced Dentistry and SGT Centre for 3 D Maxillofacial Imaging (CBCT). Lasers and Implants are the need of the hour and therefore, the institute has special DIODE units. The institute is also equipped with a state-of-the- art CBCT Machine for advanced diagnostic needs.

The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 157138.49 sq.ft with state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 372 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment. There are technology driven air conditioned gallery type lecture halls with audio-visual and multimedia projection capabilities. There are spacious examination hall and seminar halls. The Library is spread in a huge area with good collection of books and National and International Journals with back volumes with an excellent E-Library facility to benefit the students. State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. There is a Dental education museum within the campus. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately with staff quarters. The playground in the sprawling campus is ideal for Basket Ball, VolleyBall, Foot Ball, Table Tennis, Cricket, Badminton etc. It is attached with the SGT Medical College Hospital and research Institute Budhera Gurugram, Haryana for clinical practice

Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Haryana

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission 2020 at Haryana will have to register themselves through Combined centralized counselling DMER Haryana ( http://dmerharyana.org/ ) (http://uhsugadmissions.in/) by filling out their application form. Haryana, MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of Haryana MBBS / BDS 2020 admission. DMER Haryana counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1(online), Round 2(Physical Counseling), and Mop-up Round(Physical Counseling)). Fourth round being the College Round, if the number of vacant seats is x, then 10x list of registered candidates will be sent to the college and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.

Eligibilty For Admission
1. Qualification:

  • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR & 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • Those who have qualified NEET 2020 by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2020 counseling rounds
  • He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Courses .

Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

  • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
  • Reservation in Government Medical/ Dental Institutes shall be as under:
  1. Scheduled Castes 10%
  2. Backward Classe A 8%
  3. Backward Classe 5%
  4. Physically handicapped/ orthopedically handicapped only 5%
  • 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category
