Maratha Mandal’s Dental College & Research Centre, Belgaum was established in the year 1992. Maratha Mandal belonging to the Maratha community is operational since 1931 and it is engaged in serving the society since then. The Maratha Mandal’s trust runs over 35 Institutions in the field of Education. More than 12,000 students undergoing every possible course from kindergarten to degree programs in the faculties of Arts, Science & Commerce and also professional courses in Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy & Polytechnic, etc. are all part of this gigantic social phenomenon. The College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka and recognized by  Dental Council of India  with the annual intake of 50 seats in BDS and 37 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.

The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 131366 sq.ft and a non-constructed area of 216345 sqft with state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 236 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment. There are technology driven air conditioned gallery type lecture halls with audio-visual and multimedia projection capabilities. There are spacious examination hall and seminar halls. The Library is spread in a huge area with good collection of books and National and International Journals with back volumes with an excellent E-Library facility to benefit the students. State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. There is a Dental education museum within the campus. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately with staff quarters. The playground in the sprawling campus is ideal for basketball, football, cricket and volleyball and other games. It is attached with the Belagavi Institute of Medical Science for clinical practice

Admission Process

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Karnataka

The medical aspirants seeking Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission 2020 will have to register themselves for the KEA admission process by filling out their application form. Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of Karnataka MBBS / BDS 2020 admission. KEA counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round).In the final College Round -List of ten times (of the registered candidates) of number of Stray vacancies will be sent to private college which is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit. 

Eligibility For Admission
1. Qualification:

  • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • Those who have qualified NEET 2020 by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET2020 counseling rounds
  • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

  1. 100% of Seats in Government colleges
  2. 40% of Seats in case of Medical and 35% in case of Dental in Private Non-Minority colleges (KPCF)
