The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha is a Trust established in the Year 1990. The campus houses a medical college with 200 MBBS annual admissions and  Post Graduate Courses in 17 departments. The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC)  and is affiliated with the Datta Meghe Instt. Of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Nagpur. A+' Accreditation (Third Cycle) by 'NAAC' in 2017, Category-I Deemed to be University under UGC for Categorization of Universities for Grant of Graded Autonomy Regulations 2018.

Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Science, a Deemed to be University, is located in a 125-acre campus in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha about 80 km from Nagpur, Maharashtra, India which is the geographic center of India. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city amidst serene surroundings in a self-sustaining complex with an excellent academic ambiance. It is very well connected by road, rail, and air(via Nagpur) to all the major cities in the country. Admission Process

Eligibility

  • Pass in 10+2 with 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English as one of the languages of study.
  • Qualifying and applying for NEET-UG and registration for All India counseling is mandatory.
  • Intake & Duration Intake: 100 Duration: 5 yrs (inclusive of 1-year compulsory rotatory internship).
  • Age: The candidates should complete 17 years of age on or before the first day of December of the year for which admission is sought.
  • NEET (UG) – 2020 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.

Admission under NRI quota

 The admission under the NRI category is based on NEET ranking and on merit in the qualifying examination taking into consideration, marks secured in the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. Foreign nationals are also considered for admission under this quota.

  • Proof of NRI status (Passport copy of parent, employment certificate, Sponsorship letter)

  • A valid passport and student visa for the period of study. (Original must be shown for verification. 5 duly-attested photocopies must be produced.)
  • Residential Permit from the local SP and FRO
  • No Objection Certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India
  • These will be processed once the student reports at the University/Institution. The payment of fee shall be from the Non-Resident External (N.R.E) account of the parent.
