   HIDSAR started Bachelor of Dental surgery (BDS) program from the session 2007-08 with the affiliation of West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by Dental Council of India and Ministry of Health and family Welfare Govt. of India. From the session 2015-16 the college has got permission to start Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Post Graduate course in 6 different specialties and from 2017-18 in another one specialty. HIDSAR provides a strategic blend of young & experience faculties who act as a perfect mentors for the students guiding & nurturing them to become the key factor for the development of the region and the country.

Admission Process

Bachelor of Dental Surgery in West Bengal

 The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission 2020 at WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF HEATTH SCIENCES will have to register themselves for the WBUHS admission process by filling out their application form. West Bengal, MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of West Bengal, MBBS / BDS 2020 admission. WBUHS counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Subsequent rounds). Seat selection for Government Seats and for Management quota seats will be through web counseling

Eligibilty For Admission

  • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • Those who have qualified NEET 2019 by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2019 counseling rounds
  • AGE: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31 DEC. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31 DEC. Need Not Attend The Counseling. The candidates born on or after 02-01 are not eligible for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses.

Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

  • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
  • 50% of Seats in case of Private Medical college and 50% in case of private Dental College
  • Seats for admission by the University for  BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to: SC – 22%, ST- 6%,

Management Quota

Management Quota Seats 50% of Seats In Each College Are Management Quota Seats.
