G.Pulla Reddy Dental College & Hospital was established in 2006 with an annual intake of 50 seats in BDS course and 23 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences. G.Pulla Reddy Dental College & Hospital is affiliated to the DR. Y.S.R University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and recognized by Dental Council of India.

G.Pulla Reddy Dental College & Hospital started MDS course (PG Program) in 2012 & 2013 in the Dept. of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Dept. of Prosthodontics & crown and Bridge, Dept. of Periodontics, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Dept. of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Dept. of Oral Pathology & Microbiology. The MDS specialities were recognized by Dental Council of India in 2015 & 2016.

The Dental college is located in a constructed area of 146593 sq.ft and with an open area of 219838 sqft. The college provides good infrastructure to provide Dental Education to students with dedicated faculty around. Currently the college is equipped with 103 Dental chairs and has well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. There are spacious classrooms and seminar halls and an auditorium. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately. It is attached with the Kurnool Medical college, Kurnool and Govt. General Hospital, Kurnool for clinical practice. The Central Library is spread in an area of 6000 sqft equipped with about 2545 volumes and nearly 997 Titles covering the core subjects as well as general subjects. The Library is fully automated, and the database managed by SLIM 21 software. It is subscribing to as many as 25 International, 12 National Journals and 297 E-Journals.

G.Pulla Reddy Dental College & Hospital Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in Andhra Pradesh

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Dr. NTR University Of Health Sciences will have to register themselves for the Dr. NTRUHS admission process by filling out their application form. Counselling for MBBS Students (NEET-UG) in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Vijayawada. Andhra Pradesh, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET-UG. Candidates who will qualify NEET-UG Exam and meet the eligibility requirements only can register and fill the application form for Andhra Pradesh, MBBS / BDS  admission. Dr. NTRUHS counseling is conducted in Three rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round) and & for BDS there can be an extended mop-up if the percentile is decreased. This extended round will be conducted by the competent authority and if the seats are still vacant, then the college will be allowed to fill the seats from the merit list sent. Seat selection for Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota) and for Management Quota(MQ) seats will be through web counseling. Under NTRUHS, the Counselling procedure is divided into Convener quota-CQ (Govt.) and Management Quota(MQ1 & MQ2).

Eligibility For Admission

Qualification:

• 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
• Those who have qualified NEET-UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET-UG counseling rounds
• AGE: A student must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission under NEET-UG eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

It includes seats in Government colleges and Government shares of seats in Private colleges.

• 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
• 50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and 50% of Minority Medical college and 50% in case of private Non-Minority Dental College
• Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats along with 85% seats reserved for the local area.

Local Areas:

1. For admission to the Andhra University: Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam
2. For admission to the Osmania University: Adilabad, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal
3. For admission to the Sri Venkateswara University: Ananthapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Chittoor, and Nellore

Local Category:

Candidates who wish to apply for Andhra Pradesh NEET-UG counseling as local candidates will have to meet any of the following criteria with respect to the local area.

1. Applicants must have studied for a period of four years consecutively in that area: the last year being the year of the qualifying examination
2. Applicants must have resided in that area for four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying examination
3. Applicants possess a Local status certificate, issued by MRO

• 50% of the available seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes as follows:

• 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category
• 33 1/3% of seats are reserved for women candidates which are horizontal reservation

Management Quota

50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and  50% in case of Minority Medical College

The Management Quota Seats are categorized into Management Quota

(a) Sub - Category - B. 35%, Management Quota &  35%, Management Quota Minority Medical College

 (b) Sub - Category - C. 15% NRI quota (NRI/NRI Sponsored) 

Candidates from all the States and Union territories of India are eligible.

*Foreign Students / NRI candidates are eligible for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses under Management Quota Category – C Seats. Candidates should specifically put the option for NRI Category in the online application to be considered for NRI / C-Category
