Dayananda Sagar Institutions is one of the most acclaimed Educational hub in Bangalore which was founded in the 1960s by the visionary, late Sri Dayananda Sagar. Now, it has grown exuberantly to attain the status of University named as Dayananda Sagar University created by an Act of the Karnataka State in 2014, built on this adorable legacy and inspired by its own milestones, meeting the needs of quality higher education in this part of the world. Under this Deemed Private University in the Year 2019-20, The Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education & Research (CDSIMER) was initiated to impart advanced and quality education in the Health sector. The college is now permitted to take admissions for 150 MBBS seats by National Medical Commission (NMC) . The Medical college is situated on Kanakapura Road, Bangalore which is well connected with Road, Rail (including Metro facility) and Aerial route and is closely located to Pandit Shri.Shri. Ravishanakarji's Ahsram.
The Medical college is situated in a sprawling campus of over 140acres with Hi-Tech, completely filled-in breath-taking structures. The campus facilities provide students with modern Technology-enabled lecture theatres, laboratories, excellent libraries, skill labs and computer networking facilities to provide an atmosphere for interactive learning. The clinical facilities will provide opportunities for practical, hands-on clinical experience under guidance of senior & experienced medical doctors. It has a 300 bed tertiary care hospital premise, which will be augmented to a 1350 bed facility in the next 4 years. The hospital is built to cater to about 200 surrounding villages in the area. The hospital aims to provide comprehensive care under one roof to all its patients from all walks of life. Currently, The Hospital is operational with OPD's, IPD's with a patient in-flow of 200 to 300 everyday. It is equipped with Accident and Emergency services, ICU's which is planned to accommodate 100 beds with the state-of-the-art Medical equipments, Ultra-modern Laboratories with Blood Bank, Radiology and Diagnostic services. The Hospital is equipped with Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Departments. The Hospital's general specialities include General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Physiotherapy. KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts counselling MBBS NEETUG For Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education & Research (CDSIMER) (Private University)
Karnataka Examination Authority is the centralized online counselling process for the state Karnataka, which allows (Government seat in Government college ,Government seat in private college/private university and Management(others) seat, NRI seats in private colleges/private universities) through KEA counselling where KEA conducts in 4 rounds, 1st round, 2nd round, Mop-up round and stray vacancy round. KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts counseling for Government Medical College (85% seats and another 15% will be conducted by MCC), 100% seat allotment in Private Universities & Private Medical College ( includes Non-Minority, linguistic minority, and religious minority institutions), by KEA.

- In 2022, the institutional mop-up round of counseling will fill the vacant seats or remain unfilled seats after a mop-up round of KEA counseling. This round is conducted by colleges to fill the left-over seats. A list of the registered candidates' names for stray vacancies will be sent to private colleges to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
