The C.K.S. Teja Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Tirupati, is a Private College, Established in the year of 1999. The College is affiliated to the DR. Y.S.R University of Health Sciences and recognized by Dental Council of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 44 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.

The college is located in the temple town of Tirupathi, the nation's one of the best known cities for its heritage and culture , and one of the most devotional, clean city in India, we offer cutting-edge academic, research and clinical environment for the prospective dental surgeons. It is located in a constructed area of 167000 sq.ft and with an open area of 20000 sqft. The college provides state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 320 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. The institute has hitech labs equipped with modern instruments & machines. Various labs, like Dental Materials, Pre Clinical Conservative, Pre Clinical Prosthetics, Dental Anatomy, Oral Pathology etc. are available for effective learning, to learn and under stand the disease process at a micro level, and also to improve the manual skills before they treat the patients. There are technology driven air conditioned classrooms and seminar halls. There is an centrally air conditioned Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000. State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. There is a Dental education museum within the campus. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately where there are 5 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel with a total capacity of 540.

The library is spread over an area of more than 10,000 sft with separate UG&PG reading areas, staff reading area, journal section, xerox facility, and E-Library facilty. The library is having vast collection of books and numerous National and International titles from renowned publishers around the world. There is separate reading section, and issue section. The Journal section is well stalked with latest journals for the benefit of the students and staff. The E Library facility is provided by Dr.TRUHS through the Mednet Consortium to which the college is subscribed.

The clinical training is given to the students with a vision so that they are well versed with all the basic and advanced armamentarium, diagnosis and treatment protocol. The OPD is fully functional with state of the art equipments for diagnosis & treatment.

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Dr. NTR University Of Health Sciences will have to register themselves for the Dr. NTRUHS admission process by filling out their application form. Counselling for MBBS Students (NEET-UG) in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Vijayawada. Andhra Pradesh, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET-UG. Candidates who will qualify NEET-UG Exam and meet the eligibility requirements only can register and fill the application form for Andhra Pradesh, MBBS / BDS  admission. Dr. NTRUHS counseling is conducted in Three rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round) and & for BDS there can be an extended mop-up if the percentile is decreased. This extended round will be conducted by the competent authority and if the seats are still vacant, then the college will be allowed to fill the seats from the merit list sent. Seat selection for Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota) and for Management Quota(MQ) seats will be through web counseling. Under NTRUHS, the Counselling procedure is divided into Convener quota-CQ (Govt.) and Management Quota(MQ1 & MQ2).

Eligibility For Admission

Qualification:

• 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
• Those who have qualified NEET-UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET-UG counseling rounds
• AGE: A student must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission under NEET-UG eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

It includes seats in Government colleges and Government shares of seats in Private colleges.

• 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
• 50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and 50% of Minority Medical college and 50% in case of private Non-Minority Dental College
• Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats along with 85% seats reserved for the local area.

Local Areas:

1. For admission to the Andhra University: Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam
2. For admission to the Osmania University: Adilabad, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal
3. For admission to the Sri Venkateswara University: Ananthapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Chittoor, and Nellore

Local Category:

Candidates who wish to apply for Andhra Pradesh NEET-UG counseling as local candidates will have to meet any of the following criteria with respect to the local area.

1. Applicants must have studied for a period of four years consecutively in that area: the last year being the year of the qualifying examination
2. Applicants must have resided in that area for four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying examination
3. Applicants possess a Local status certificate, issued by MRO

• 50% of the available seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes as follows:

• 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category
• 33 1/3% of seats are reserved for women candidates which are horizontal reservation

Management Quota

50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and  50% in case of Minority Medical College

The Management Quota Seats are categorized into Management Quota

(a) Sub - Category - B. 35%, Management Quota &  35%, Management Quota Minority Medical College

 (b) Sub - Category - C. 15% NRI quota (NRI/NRI Sponsored) 

Candidates from all the States and Union territories of India are eligible.

*Foreign Students / NRI candidates are eligible for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses under Management Quota Category – C Seats. Candidates should specifically put the option for NRI Category in the online application to be considered for NRI / C-Category
