  • Admission Process

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Uttar Pradesh will have to register themselves for the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, UP is functioning directly under the State Government admission process by filling out their application form. MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form for Uttar Pradesh MBBS / BDS admission. Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DMET)counseling is conducted in Three Rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round). The fourth round being the College Round, if the number of vacant seats is x, then a 10x the list of registered candidates will be sent to the college and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit. Directorate General of Medical Education and Training UP conducts the combined (Government and Private) admissions for UP NEET-UG medical

    Eligibility For Admission
    1. Qualification:

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET-UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2020 counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

    • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)

    The private medical college Seat  selection process 

    Private colleges in Uttar Pradesh may further be divided into two one is trust other is minority institutes. For all private medical colleges in UP, the state government decides its fee structure.100 % seats in private medical colleges Students from any Indian state are eligible to apply for private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. No caste-based reservation is applicable. Minority college seat is reserve for minority students.

    STEPS FOR COUNSELLING PROCESS

    Directorate General of Medical Education and Training UP is conducting three rounds of Counseling for NEET UG

    ROUND -1

    • Verification of Documents – After successful registration and deposition of the security money, a candidate needs to report to the nodal centers for verification of documents. If a candidate fails to report to the respective nodal center in the stipulated time, their seat will be given to the candidate next in line. Only after the successful verification of the documents, a candidate will be able to proceed to the next stage of UP NEET counseling 2020
    • Online Admission Process for allotted candidates

    Offline Process

    1. For Government Medical/Dental Colleges -Rest fee(in Cash) and Original documents to be submitted to allotted college - Go to medical board at allotted college/ nodal center -Eligible for participation in 2nd round. (up gradation of seat/college)
    2. For Private Medical/Dental Colleges -DD in favour of Director General Medical Education and Training UP Payable at Lucknow of remaining amount of tuition fee and original documents submit to nodal center not to allotted college -Go to medical board at nodal center -Eligible for participation in 2nd round. (up gradation of seat/college)
    • After allotment, if the candidate does not complete the admission process then the security fee will be forfeited. If a candidate wants to participate in 2nd round, then the security fee is to be deposited again.
    • Candidate will be provided a button of <pay tuition fee> to submit online tuition fee at the page of allotment result. The candidate has to pay Rs. 30,000/- (Rs. Thirty thousand only) in case he/she has been allotted seat of Government Institutions. If the candidate has been allotted a seat at a private institution, he/she has to pay Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. Two lakhs only)

    • Mop-up counseling for seat allotment/admission will be held offline
    • On-Spot Registration (Candidate should submit the full fee for a course allotted along with original documents).
