Y.S.R University of Health Sciences and recognized by Dental Council of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 44 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.

Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education, better known as Siddhartha Academy, came into being in the year 1975 with a Corpus Fund of Rs.25 lakhs (Rs.2.5 million) through the efforts of 250 Life members drawn from different walks of life having a philanthropic bent of mind. This was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act in the same year. Currently the college is equipped with 384 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. There are technology driven air conditioned classrooms and seminar halls and Auditorium . State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. Currently the college is equipped with 265 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment as well. There are technology driven air conditioned classrooms and seminar halls. There is an centrally air conditioned Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000. The institution has four peripheral satellite centres established in the year 2003-2004, which are located at a distance of 10-15 kilometres from the college at Anandapuram, Padmanabam, Vizianagaram and Madurawada to serve the patients coming from remote areas. Both the satellite centres are well equipped with all the facilities. A dental surgeon is appointed at each centre and the house surgeons are posted on rotation basis at the satellite centres so as the house surgeons get a learning opportunity and exposure to different patient groups.

Basic dental services like dental examination, scaling, restorations, root canal treatment and extractions are provided at the satellite centres and for further advanced treatments, the patients are referred to the dental college with a referral card. Specialist services are also available on particular days in week and those days patients avail the advanced dental treatments.

The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission at Dr. NTR University Of Health Sciences will have to register themselves for the Dr. NTRUHS admission process by filling out their application form. Counselling for MBBS Students (NEET-UG) in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Vijayawada. Andhra Pradesh, MBBS/BDS admission is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET-UG. Candidates who will qualify NEET-UG Exam and meet the eligibility requirements only can register and fill the application form for Andhra Pradesh, MBBS / BDS admission. Dr. NTRUHS counseling is conducted in Three rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round) and & for BDS there can be an extended mop-up if the percentile is decreased. This extended round will be conducted by the competent authority and if the seats are still vacant, then the college will be allowed to fill the seats from the merit list sent. Seat selection for Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota) and for Management Quota(MQ) seats will be through web counseling. Under NTRUHS, the Counselling procedure is divided into Convener quota-CQ (Govt.) and Management Quota(MQ1 & MQ2).

Eligibility For Admission

Qualification:

• 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR & 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
• Those who have qualified NEET-UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET-UG counseling rounds
• AGE: A student must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission under NEET-UG eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

It includes seats in Government colleges and Government shares of seats in Private colleges.

• 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
• 50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and 50% of Minority Medical college and 50% in case of private Non-Minority Dental College
• Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats along with 85% seats reserved for the local area.

Local Category:

Candidates who wish to apply for Andhra Pradesh NEET-UG counseling as local candidates will have to meet any of the following criteria with respect to the local area.

1. Applicants must have studied for a period of four years consecutively in that area: the last year being the year of the qualifying examination
2. Applicants must have resided in that area for four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying examination
3. Applicants possess a Local status certificate, issued by MRO

• 50% of the available seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes as follows:

• 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category
• 33 1/3% of seats are reserved for women candidates which are horizontal reservation

Management Quota

50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and 50% in case of Minority Medical College
