All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh (AIIMS Rishikesh) is a medical college and hospital based in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. The institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It is one of the Institutes of National Importance in India. It was established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna’s first phase and supported to be an autonomous body by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012. It is recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) with an annual intake of 100 MBBS seats, 854 seats in 40 disciplines of Postgraduate studies and 567 seats in 64 disciplines of Super-Specialization studies.
Since inception, AIIMS Rishikesh has actively innovated in curricula and teaching methods thus aspiring towards international standards, for example, the inclusion of humanities course as an integral part of MBBS training is to bring about a humane physician.
Adding to the natural beauty of Rishikesh there’s a vibrant campus life for students, faculty, and staff that is a special asset that AIIMS Rishikesh can particularly boast of. The Institute is fully equipped with clinical Laboratories, Departmental Museums and Auditorium. Library and information center is located in a huge area with good collection of Medical Books, Indian & Foreign Journals with separate reading space for students & Teaching Staff and a Digital Library. There are facilities for Indoor and Outdoor Games and Sports with volleyball and badminton facilities.
AIIMS Hospital
As of 2019, AIIMS Rishikesh hospital has 1060 bed capacity. 24x7x365 Emergency services started in early 2017 and have now bifurcated into separate Trauma Surgery and Emergency Medicine services. It also has 25 functional modular operating theatres, 17 functional super speciality and 18 speciality functional. AIIMS Rishikesh has collaborated with IIT Roorkee and Patanjali Yogpeeth on various research endeavors, the latter to bolster AYUSH research. It has invested considerably in intramural research grants to expand the breadth and depth of research. It has a multi-diagnostic research unit to support lab-based studies. Besides, the Advanced Center of Continuous Professional Development provides ongoing support to faculty and other medical professionals for improving clinical, research, and teaching skills. Along with a growing footfall in routine outpatient clinics, 85 specialized clinics have been added since 2018-19.

The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), 100% ESIC, AFMC (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) 100% AIIMS & 100% JIPMER.There will be four rounds of counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS. Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by AIIMS for which the list of registered Candidates for the Stray Vacancy, will be forwarded by the MCC to AIIMS. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by NTA including candidates from the Union Territory of J&K will be eligible.
Reservation Policy: The reservation policy of the Central Government is followed and the same is applied only on the seats contributed by AIIMS to AIQ:

Registration Fees
- Students have to pay two kinds of fee
For (15% All India Quota)/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/AFMC & ESI/ All AIIMS/ JIPMER Non Refundable Registration fee:- Rs. 1000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 500/- For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates.
Refundable security amount:- Rs.10,000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH e.g. any UR candidate opting for Central Universities/ AFMC/ ESI will pay Rs. 1000/-+ Rs. 10,000= Rs. 11,000 at the time of registration.
Any SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate will pay Rs. 500 + Rs.5,000 = Rs. 5,500 at the time of registration.

a) Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who • Have not registered in Round-1 (with full payment of fees). • Have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not register again. • Fresh Choice filling Round-2.
b) Publication of result of Round-2 on MCC website.
c) Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2

Mop Up Round (Only for Deemed/ Central Universities, ESIC, AIIMS & JIPMER)
Fresh Registration with payment of registration fee for Mop Up Round for the following candidates :
i. Those who registered in Round-1 & exited availing Free Exit
ii. Who registered in Round-2 & exited with Forfeiture of fees can register again with payment of fees.
However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission in Round-2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER will not be eligible to participate in Mop Up Round. (Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again).
