The All India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS] Mangalagiri is one of the AIIMS healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). It is a medical research public higher education institute located in the Mangalagiri in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the four "Phase-IV" All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced in July 2014. It is located between Guntur and Vijayawada. In 2018, AIIMS, Mangalagiri started functioning from a newly constructed, albeit temporary campus at Government Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada. In March 2019 OPD services was started in the Permanent campus at Mangalagiri, Guntur. Thereafter AIIMS gradually moved into its designated campus as newly constructed. The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is currently permitted to admit 50 MBBS students per year.
The College has various Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Departments in place. The AIIMS college is coming up with very good infrastructure with good spacious classrooms, Lecture rooms, Demonstration rooms, examination halls. There are Skill labs and well-equipped laboratories with departmental museums. Library facility are improving with good collection of books and journals. Separate Hostels for Boys and girls along with recreational facilities are there within the campus.
AIIMS, Mangalagiri Hospital
The hospital is currently functional with OPD services and the In-Patient services are yet to start and the hospital is expected to be fully operational in September 2022. Diagnostic Laboratory facilities are available in the OP department. The OPD facilities are available in General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Emergency services.

The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), 100% ESIC, AFMC (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) 100% AIIMS & 100% JIPMER.There will be four rounds of counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS. Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by AIIMS for which the list of registered Candidates for the Stray Vacancy, will be forwarded by the MCC to AIIMS. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by NTA including candidates from the Union Territory of J&K will be eligible.
Reservation Policy: The reservation policy of the Central Government is followed and the same is applied only on the seats contributed by AIIMS to AIQ:
- Students have to pay two kinds of fee
For (15% All India Quota)/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/AFMC & ESI/ All AIIMS/ JIPMER Non Refundable Registration fee:- Rs. 1000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 500/- For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates.
Refundable security amount:- Rs.10,000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH e.g. any UR candidate opting for Central Universities/ AFMC/ ESI will pay Rs. 1000/-+ Rs. 10,000= Rs. 11,000 at the time of registration.
Any SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate will pay Rs. 500 + Rs.5,000 = Rs. 5,500 at the time of registration.
REGISTRATION & COUNSELING PROCESS
a) Main counseling Registration which will include payment of Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made).
b) Exercising of Choices and Locking of choices.
c) Process of Seat Allotment Round-1
d) Publication of result of Round-1on MCC website
e) Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against 1 Round.
ROUND-2 (Candidates who registered for Round-1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again.)
a) Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who • Have not registered in Round-1 (with full payment of fees). • Have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not register again. • Fresh Choice filling Round-2.
b) Publication of result of Round-2 on MCC website.
c) Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2
END of 15 % All India Counselling and reverting of Non-Joined, Not allotted seats to State quota / Institutional Quota of Central University /Central Institute. MOP –UP ROUND
Mop Up Round (Only for Deemed/ Central Universities, ESIC, AIIMS & JIPMER)
Fresh Registration with payment of registration fee for Mop Up Round for the following candidates :
i. Those who registered in Round-1 & exited availing Free Exit
ii. Who registered in Round-2 & exited with Forfeiture of fees can register again with payment of fees.
However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission in Round-2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER will not be eligible to participate in Mop Up Round. (Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again).
List of Registered Candidates ten times the number of Stray vacancies to be sent to Deemed / Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND To be conducted by Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER (There will be no Fresh Registration of Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round)
