The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani, is one of the AIIMS healthcare institutes being established in the year 2019 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The College is affiliated to Statutory Autonomous, AIIMS, located in Uttar Pradesh with the annual intake of 50 seats. It is one of the four "Phase-IV" All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced in July 2014. AIIMS Kalyani is an Institute of National Importance set up with the aim to address imbalances at three levels – regional, specialties, and ratio of medical doctors to nurses and other healthcare professionals. It intends to develop patterns of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India.
The Institute was approved to be established over a span of 179.82-acre land on National Highway – 34 around 50 km from Kolkata, in the village of Basantapur, near Kalyani, District Nadia, West Bengal. It has an excellent infrastructure and technology-infused gallery type Lecture halls, Demonstration halls, Common rooms for Boys and Girls, Examination hall. It has latest Medical Skills Lab & Departmental museums. The well-equipped, modernized, and latest Technology-driven equipment make the Laboratory unique. Cafeteria and Recreation halls are amongst the best. There are separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls. The Central Library acquires huge volumes of books and National and International journals. AIIMS Kalyani is proposed to be a 960 bedded hospital equipped with all modern facilities. To further enhance healthcare delivery, AIIMS Kalyani lays special emphasis on Alternate Systems of Medicine, AYUSH. In subsequent phases, AIIMS Kalyani is likely to widen the spectrum of services through the expansion of various super-specialty departments.

The MCC/DGHS will be doing Counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), 100% ESIC, AFMC (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) 100% AIIMS & 100% JIPMER.There will be four rounds of counseling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS. Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round. The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by AIIMS for which the list of registered Candidates for the Stray Vacancy, will be forwarded by the MCC to AIIMS. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by NTA including candidates from the Union Territory of J&K will be eligible.
Reservation Policy: The reservation policy of the Central Government is followed and the same is applied only on the seats contributed by AIIMS to AIQ:

For (15% All India Quota)/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/AFMC & ESI/ All AIIMS/ JIPMER Non Refundable Registration fee:- Rs. 1000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 500/- For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates.
Refundable security amount:- Rs.10,000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH e.g. any UR candidate opting for Central Universities/ AFMC/ ESI will pay Rs. 1000/-+ Rs. 10,000= Rs. 11,000 at the time of registration.
Any SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate will pay Rs. 500 + Rs.5,000 = Rs. 5,500 at the time of registration.
REGISTRATION & COUNSELING PROCESS
a) Main counseling Registration which will include payment of Non-Refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made).

a) Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who • Have not registered in Round-1 (with full payment of fees). • Have Resigned / Not reported in Round-1 need not register again. • Fresh Choice filling Round-2.
b) Publication of result of Round-2 on MCC website.
c) Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2

Mop Up Round (Only for Deemed/ Central Universities, ESIC, AIIMS & JIPMER)
Fresh Registration with payment of registration fee for Mop Up Round for the following candidates :
i. Those who registered in Round-1 & exited availing Free Exit
ii. Who registered in Round-2 & exited with Forfeiture of fees can register again with payment of fees.
However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission in Round-2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER will not be eligible to participate in Mop Up Round. (Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again).
