About College

  The All India Institute of Medical Sciences - AIIMS, Bibinagar is one of the apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the The Pradhan Mantri Swasthya SurakshaYojana-PMSSY. To facilitate the creation of very important institutions in the country, the Government of India has legislated AIIMS Act under which AIIMS are established. In terms of the provisions of the Act, these new AIIMS are called Institutes of National Importance and are to function as Autonomous Institutions under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India

AIIMS, Bibinagar Hyderabad Metropolitan Region (HMR) (Telangana )was denoted as "Phase-VII" of PMSSY. It makes its beginning in 2019. The institute is located on a 200 acre area on Hyderabad- Warangal Highway (NH-163), Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (District).The first batch of MBBS comprising of 50 students were started on 27.08.2019. 

It is a Government College and one of the six AIIMS established in the Year 2019. The College is affiliated Statutory Autonomous, AIIMS, located in Telangana and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC), India with the annual intake of 50 seats. AIIMS occupies the former Bibinagar campus of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), which as of December 2019, is under construction. The College has various Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Departments in place. The AIIMS college is coming up with very good infrastructure with good spacious classrooms, Lecture rooms, Demonstration rooms, examination halls. There are Skill labs and well-equipped laboratories with departmental museums. Library facility are improving with good collection of books and journals. Separate Hostels for Boys and girls along with recreational facilities are there within the campus. 

AIIMS, Bibinagar Hospital 

The hospital is currently functional with OPD services and the In-Patient services are yet to start and the hospital is expected to be fully operational in September 2022. Diagnostic Laboratory facilities are available in the OP department. The OPD facilities are available in General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Emergency services.

    Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Telangana

    The medical aspirants seeking MBBS/BDS admission 2020 at KNR University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS)  will have to register themselves for the KNRUHS admission process by filling out their application form. Telangana MBBS/BDS admission 2020 is done on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Candidates who will qualify NEET Exam and meet the eligibility requirements can only register and fill the application form of Telangana MBBS / BDS 2020 admission. KNRUHS counseling is conducted in Three Round (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Round). Fourth round being the College Round, if the number of vacant seats is x, then 10x list of registered candidates will be sent to the college and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit. Seat selection for Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota) will be exclusively through web counseling and for Management quota seats will be through offline counseling

     Eligibilty For Admission
    1. Qualification:

    • 12th or (10+2 Equivalent) with Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English for UR &  40% for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Those who have qualified NEET 2020 by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the Admission and Counseling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentile (40th  percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentile for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET 2020 counseling rounds
    • AGE: A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

    Government Seats (Competent Authority Quota)

    Means and includes seats in Government colleges and Government share of seats in Private colleges.

    • 85% of Seats in Government colleges (after exclusion of 15 % seats transferred to All India Quota)
    • 50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and 60% of Minority Medical college and 50% in case of private Non-Minority Dental College
    • Non local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats along with 85% seats reserved for local area.
    • 29% of the available seats for admission by the University for MBBS/ BDS shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes as follows: · BC-A -7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7% & BC-E*-4%
    • 10% of total seats in specified Government Medical / Dental Colleges reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS ) Category
    • 33 1/3% of seats are guaranteed for women and candidates in each category
    • 15% seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, 6% of seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes in each local area.

    Management Quota

    50% of Seats in case of Private Un-aided Non-Minority and  40% Minority Medical College

    The Management Quota Seats are categorized into Management Quota

    (a) Sub - Category - B. 35%, Management Quota 25% Minority Medical College

     (b) sub - Category - C. 15% NRI quota (NRI/NRI Sponsored) 

    Candidates from all the states and union territories of India are eligible.

    * In Un-aided Minority Medical Colleges are reserved for Muslim Minority Candidates only. In case Muslim Minority Candidates are not available the seats may be filled up with Non minority students up to maximum of 30% during final Phase of counseling.

    *Foreign Students / NRI candidates are eligible for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses under Management Quota Category – C Seats. Candidates should specifically put the option for NRI Category in the on-line application to be considered for NRI / C-Category
