A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru, established in the year 2002 is one of the most progressive Private Dental college in Karnataka which is run by Laxmi Memorial Educational Trust. The College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka and recognized by Dental Council of India with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS and 52 seats in various streams of Postgraduate Dental Sciences.

The Dental college is located on a beautiful hillock with a lush green campus having a dedicated constructed area of 138424 sq.ft with state of the art infrastructure which has set high standards in terms of Dental Education and creates an environment for excellent student oriented, patient friendly environment with dedicated faculty in place. Currently the college is equipped with 371 latest electronic Dental chairs and has set up a well maintained laboratory with all the latest equipment. There are technology driven air conditioned gallery type lecture halls with a large greenboard and full audio-visual and multimedia projection capabilities. There are spacious examination hall with a seating capacity of 250 students at a time and seminar halls. The Library is spread in a huge area of over 14550 sqft with good collection of books of over 6111 and 28 National and 63 International Journals with back volumes. There is an excellent E-Library facility as well to benefit the students. State of art preclinical labs equipped with patient simulations and Wi Fi enabled campus. A.J institute of Dental sciences has a well-equipped Air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of over 950 people. There is a Dental education museum within the campus. The campus houses well ventilated spacious hostels for girls and boys separately with staff quarters. The playground in the sprawling campus is ideal for basketball, football, cricket and volleyball and other games. It is attached with the A J Hospital and Research Centre for clinical practice.
